What is Guessday?

Guessday is a small collection of original puzzle games that each take about three minutes a day. Every game gives everyone in the world the same puzzle on the same calendar day, so you can compare results with friends, coworkers or your group chat without spoiling the answer: the share button posts a grid of colored dots, never the solution.

Each game is built on real, public data rather than trivia written by a quiz master. Blind Ticker, our first game, uses the financial statements that US-listed companies file with regulators. You read the clues the way an analyst reads a filing: which sector, where the headquarters is, how large the revenue is and how profitable the business is.

How the daily puzzles work

A new puzzle unlocks at midnight in your own time zone. Your progress, streak and statistics are saved only in your browser. There are no accounts, no downloads and nothing to install. If you miss a day, the archive lets you play every past puzzle, and unlimited mode serves fresh rounds whenever you want more practice.

Fair play

Hints are optional. A free hint adds a 💡 to your shared result, while a hint unlocked by watching an optional short ad is not marked. Answer explanations only open after you finish that day’s puzzle, and we keep the data behind each game documented on its data page.
