Blind Ticker FAQ
When does a new Blind Ticker puzzle start?
A new daily puzzle unlocks at midnight in your own time zone. Everyone gets the same company on the same calendar date.
Why can't I find a company I know?
The dataset covers roughly one thousand companies listed on NYSE or Nasdaq with a US business address and complete annual revenue, net income and total assets. Foreign filers, private companies and subsidiaries of larger parents are not included.
Why is the revenue different from the number in the news?
Blind Ticker uses standardized figures from annual filings for a full fiscal year. News coverage often quotes quarterly results, calendar-year totals or adjusted figures, which can differ.
What do the colors, symbols and arrows mean?
Blue with a check mark is a match, orange with an approximately-equal sign is close and grey with a cross is a miss. Arrows on numeric clues point toward the hidden company's value.
Do hints affect my streak?
No. Hints never break a streak. Free hints add a light bulb to your shared result, while hints unlocked by watching an optional ad do not.
Can I play puzzles I missed?
Yes. The archive lists every past daily puzzle. Archive games count toward your statistics, but only today's puzzle extends your streak.
Where are my stats stored?
Your progress and statistics stay in your browser's local storage on your device. There are no accounts, and clearing site data resets them.
Is Blind Ticker investment advice?
No. Blind Ticker is a game built on public data that may contain errors or be out of date. Do not use it to make financial decisions.
